Cala de Enmedio is one of those places that feels deliberately difficult to reach. Located within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, the secluded cove is framed by unusual pale rock formations and calm Mediterranean water.
The walk required to reach the beach helps keep visitor numbers lower than at more accessible coastal spots. There are no large resorts surrounding the cove, so the landscape remains wonderfully natural.
Bring water, sun protection and everything else you need for the day because the attraction here is precisely the absence of conventional beach infrastructure.
