9Hanakapiai Beach, Hawaii, USA

Hawaii is known for its stunning beaches, but Hanakapiai Beach on the island of Kauai is infamous for its deadly conditions. Situated at the end of a challenging hiking trail, this beach has no access roads and is unpatrolled.  

The seemingly peaceful waters hide strong and unpredictable rip currents that have claimed the lives of more than 80 people over the years. Even experienced swimmers can quickly find themselves in life-threatening situations, as there are no lifeguards to provide help.
