Covering 1,956 kilometers (1,215 miles), this journey starts in Xining, China, and climbs to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, making it the highest railway in the world.
At its highest point, the train reaches an altitude of 5,072 meters (16,640 feet) above sea level. Passengers are treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, vast grasslands, and remote Tibetan villages.
