The city of Florence is a popular tourist destination and was declared by UNESCO to be a World Heritage Site in 1982. Florence is well known for its culture, art galleries, and eye-popping architecture. In 2010, Forbes magazine ranked the city of Florence as one of the most beautiful cities in the world due to its architectural heritage.   

For these reasons, many celebrities flock to the city of Florence in the summer months to spend their summer vacations. Selena Gomez and her beau, The Weeknd, have been spotted in Florence, dining and shopping at Santo Spirito square. Justin Bieber, Julia Roberts, and a few other Hollywood A-listers have been known to stay at Belmond Villa San Michele in Florence. Kanye West and (ex-wife) Kim Kardashian have also been to Florence, and Kanye describes Florence as “I adore Florence. I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle.“
