4Fragas do Eume, Galicia

Galicia isn’t just home to rugged coastlines; it also shelters one of the last remaining Atlantic rainforests in Europe: the Fragas do Eume.

Walking through this enchanted forest feels like stepping into a Tolkien novel, with moss-draped trees, stone bridges, and mist curling over the riverbanks. The crown jewel is the Monastery of Caaveiro, perched on a rocky outcrop deep within the forest. Despite its beauty, Fragas do Eume is still one of Spain’s least-visited national parks.
