4There Are Three Major Façades
The Sagrada Família has three principal façades, each with a different character and purpose: the Nativity façade, the Passion façade and the Glory façade.
The Nativity façade is closely associated with Gaudí’s own work and is filled with elaborate natural forms and detailed sculpture.
The Passion façade presents a much more dramatic and austere appearance, with sculptures created decades after Gaudí’s death by sculptor Josep Maria Subirachs.
The Glory façade is intended to become the principal entrance and remains part of the continuing construction work.
