The currency in Greece is the Euro (€). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in cities and tourist areas.

However, it’s a good idea to carry some cash, especially in rural areas or when visiting smaller businesses, as not all places may accept cards. ATMs are readily available throughout the country.
