2Patmos Town, Patmos

Patmos, known as the “Island of the Apocalypse,” holds a special place in Greek history and religion. Its main village, Patmos Town (Chora), is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its stunning monastic architecture and the Cave of the Apocalypse, where it is believed St. John received the Book of Revelation.

The village’s cobblestone streets lead to the imposing Monastery of St. John the Theologian, which offers panoramic views of the island and sea.
