Valletta is the tiny capital city of Malta, a country composed of three islands in the Mediterranean Sea about 60 miles south of Sicily. It is built on high ground between two harbors overlooking a rugged coastline. Beautiful sandy beaches are within a 30-minute drive, and public transportation is available.
