While Canada is geographically close to the United States, its vast northern territories are extremely remote and sparsely populated. Large portions of northern Canada are far from major strategic targets and offer natural resources, freshwater, and forested land.
In a limited conflict scenario, remote regions such as parts of Yukon or northern Manitoba could theoretically be safer than densely populated metropolitan areas.
