Built on the outskirts of Paris in Poissy as a weekend retreat for the Savoye family in 1928, Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye is one of the most important buildings designed in the “International Style” and is considered to embody many of the origins of modern architecture.

The Swiss architect’s five points of a new architecture—reinforced concrete construction, a roof garden, open plan design, horizontal windows, and free design.
