5Wander Vieste’s old town

Clifftop Vieste has a rough-and-ready charm that feels more authentic than some of Puglia’s prettified towns.

Wander around the warren-like old town, then head for one of the town’s two sandy beaches, wedged under the Pizzomunno cliffs. Regular ferries run from Vieste out to the Isole Tremiti.
