While the Rosetta Stone is undoubtedly the most famous, it is not the only one of its kind.

Similar decrees, known as the Canopus and Memphis Decrees, were issued during the same period, and fragments of these texts have been found on other stelae. However, the Rosetta Stone’s unique trilingual inscription sets it apart as the most important in the decipherment process.
