9Tiramisù

Although tiramisù originated in northern Italy, it has become one of Rome’s most beloved desserts. Nearly every traditional trattoria and pastry shop serves its own version, making it a must-try while visiting the capital.

Made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfinger biscuits, rich mascarpone cream, eggs, sugar, and a generous dusting of cocoa powder, tiramisù strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and the bold flavor of Italian coffee. Some Roman cafés even offer creative variations flavored with pistachio, berries, or chocolate, but the classic recipe remains the favorite.
