8The Corpse Flower (Rafflesia arnoldii)

Growing over 3 feet in diameter, this flower is one of the largest in the world. But, unlike most flowers, this one does not release a heavenly aroma.

In fact, it’s one of the most foul smelling. It’s called the corpse flower for good reason – it smells like rotting flesh. Also, unlike most flowers, these flowers have no stem and no leaves. They are very rare and difficult to find in the wild. They only grow in the rainforests of Indonesia.
