4Day 4: Scenic Rome
Rome is not only about monuments; it is also a city of scenic viewpoints and tranquil parks.
Start the day in Villa Borghese, Rome’s most elegant park. This large green oasis offers peaceful walking paths, gardens, fountains, and even a small lake where visitors can rent rowboats.
From the park, head toward the Pincian Terrace, which offers one of the most romantic panoramic views over the city. At sunset, the rooftops of Rome glow in golden light, creating a magical atmosphere.
Later, walk along the Tiber River to reach the impressive Castel Sant’Angelo. Originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian, the structure later served as a fortress and papal residence. The terrace at the top offers another unforgettable view of St. Peter’s Basilica.
End your day on Janiculum Hill, where locals gather to watch the sunset over the Eternal City.
