2Salzburg, Austria: A Baroque Christmas Wonderland
Salzburg, known as the birthplace of Mozart and the setting of “The Sound of Music,” is a stunning destination to visit during Christmas. The highlight of Christmas in Salzburg is the Christkindlmarkt, held in Residenzplatz and Domplatz squares, right in front of the city’s majestic cathedral.
The market dates back to the 15th century, making it one of the oldest and most traditional in Europe. You’ll find an array of beautifully crafted ornaments, handmade gifts, and Austrian delicacies such as Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancakes with fruit compote).
In our world of today we see some great infrastructures around us. If we look around us we do find strange place too, made by humans only with least help of machines those are available today. There are places you find strange even to visit as it is very difficult to reach there but people are living there for ages now. Have a look!
