Kastellorizo is the smallest of the Dodecanese, but don’t be fooled by its size. It’s a peaceful island, with picturesque village buildings right down to the waterfront.

With only about 200 residents, Kastellorizo is known as “the red castle” after an ancient castle the Knights of Saint John built from colored rocks.
