1Prague Castle – Czech Republic (circa 870 AD)

Overlooking the Vltava River, Prague Castle has been the heart of Czech political and religious life for over 1,100 years.

Founded around 870 AD, it grew into a sprawling complex of palaces, churches, and defensive walls. It has been home to Holy Roman Emperors, Habsburg kings, and modern presidents. Today, it’s one of the most visited landmarks in Central Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
