6Elafonisi Beach, Crete

Elafonisi Beach is located on the southwestern coast of the island of Crete and is one of Greece’s most beautiful beaches. The beach is also well known for being one of the best pink sand beaches in the world; its candy-colored sand is created by the crushed shells of tiny marine creatures. The water is shallow and crystal-clear, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

The beach is also ideal for wind and kite surfing, thanks to the strong winds that blow through the area. Elafonisi Beach is surrounded by beautiful dunes and rocky outcrops, providing a stunning backdrop to the already picturesque scene.
