4Rapallo

Larger and livelier than some of its neighboring towns, Rapallo is an excellent base for exploring the Ligurian coast. This charming town, located at the foot of the hills, has a vibrant historical center filled with piazzas, boutiques, and cafes.

The seafront promenade offers beautiful views of the harbor, and the beach is ideal for a swim or sunbathing. One of Rapallo’s most notable landmarks is the Castello di Rapallo, a medieval castle perched on a small island in the bay. Visitors can take a boat trip to explore the surrounding areas or hop on the funicular to the Sanctuary of Montallegro, which offers sweeping views of the town and the coast below.
