6Sanssouci Palace, Potsdam

The former summer residence of Prussian King Frederick II in Potsdam was built around 1745 according to his own sketches in the rococo style.

The French word “Sanssouci” means “no care” and is to be understood as a kind of leitmotif of the king. For this is where he preferred to retreat with his dogs.
