While New England and the Smoky Mountains are widely celebrated, the Midwest boasts its own hidden gems for fall getaways. Door County, Wisconsin, is one such destination. Known as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest,” this peninsula is adorned with charming villages, lighthouses, and picturesque orchards. The vibrant leaves of maples and cherry trees contrast beautifully with the deep blue waters of Lake Michigan.
