Prague’s historic architecture and cobblestone streets become even more enchanting under a layer of snow.

The Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and Old Town Square, with its iconic Astronomical Clock, all look like scenes from a winter fairytale.

During December, the city hosts Christmas markets that fill the air with the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread. Ice skating rinks pop up around the city, and visitors can enjoy a warm chimney cake, or “trdelník,” while wandering through the beautifully lit streets.
