7Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland

Made famous by The Da Vinci Code, Rosslyn Chapel is a small 15th-century church near Edinburgh that’s loaded with intricate carvings of unknown origin and symbolism.

Masonic imagery, depictions of plants native only to the Americas (carved years before Columbus), and cryptic codes suggest the chapel may hide ancient secrets, possibly linked to the Knights Templar or the Holy Grail. To this day, no one can fully decipher its iconography.
