Located in the bustling city of Mumbai, Chowpatty Beach may not pose the natural dangers seen on other beaches, but its threat comes from severe pollution.  

The water is heavily contaminated with industrial waste, untreated sewage, and plastic debris, making it one of the most polluted beaches in the world. Swimming here is strongly discouraged due to the risk of infections, skin irritation, and exposure to toxic chemicals. Despite this, the beach remains a popular spot for locals to gather, especially during festivals.
