4North Dakota Highway 1804

Following the Missouri River along much of its length, Highway 1804 offers a remote journey through North Dakota’s Great Plains. Named after the year Lewis and Clark’s expedition reached the area, the highway is seldom trafficked and gives a real sense of frontier life.

The landscape is dotted with small ranches, rolling hills, and occasional oil rigs. Apart from the occasional farm vehicle, you’ll likely have the road to yourself for miles.
