5Icelandair’s Glacier-themed Airplane

Due to the celebration for the first launch of its new Boeing 757-200 airplane in 2017, this plane was painted in the colors of the Vatnajφkull glacier that was the inspiration for the paint scheme.

The Icelandair usually designates its airplanes after volcanoes, but this special-liveried aircraft is named Vatnajφkull, in honor of the Vatnajφkull glacier, the country’s largest glacier.
