6Strasbourg – The Capital of Christmas
Technically a city, Strasbourg still feels like a Christmas village thanks to its charming Old Town, dramatic cathedral, and fairytale squares. Known as the “Capital of Christmas,” Strasbourg hosts one of Europe’s oldest and most atmospheric Christmas markets. As many as ten themed markets pop up throughout the historic center, with dazzling lights and giant Christmas trees transforming the city into a glowing holiday stage.
The heart of it all is the traditional market at Place Broglie and the iconic Great Christmas Tree standing tall at Place Kléber.
Why it feels like a storybook: centuries-old markets, labyrinthine streets, and the most majestic Christmas tree in France.
