8The Victoria Memorial

Built between 1906 and 1921 in Kolkata, India, to commemorate Queen Victoria’s death, the memorial is a grand marble structure.

As instructed by then-Viceroy of India, George Curzon, the site incorporates beautiful gardens and a museum building that can still be visited today.
