Built into a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Minack Theatre is one of the most extraordinary open-air performance venues in the world.

Carved largely by hand in the 1930s by Rowena Cade and her gardener, the theatre seems like something the ancient Greeks might have left behind. With the sea as a backdrop and stars overhead, attending a play here is unforgettable. While many head to Cornwall for beaches or surf, few venture to this remarkable artistic sanctuary.
