5Step 2: Create the House Panels

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness. Using a template, cut out the shapes for the house, including two walls, two roof panels, and a front and back piece. 

You can create your own templates from cardboard or download them online. Carefully transfer the pieces to the baking sheets, leaving space between them, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until firm. Allow the gingerbread to cool completely on a wire rack before assembling the house.
