6Prague, Czech Republic – Where Fairytales Meet Frost
In winter, Prague looks like it was designed for Christmas. The city’s Old Town Square Market is the crown jewel of the season, framed by Gothic spires and pastel Baroque buildings. A towering Christmas tree sparkles beneath the Church of Our Lady before Týn, while vendors offer handmade gifts, glass ornaments, and traditional Czech pastries.
Visitors can indulge in trdelník, a warm, sugar-coated pastry, or sip hot mulled wine (svařák) while snow gently falls on the cobblestones. Nearby, smaller markets at Wenceslas Square and Prague Castle add layers of magic. As the city’s bridges and towers glisten in the winter light, Prague’s beauty feels almost unreal—like stepping into a Christmas card.
