4St James’s Park

Just beside Buckingham Palace lies St James’s Park, one of London’s most charming green spaces. It may not always appear first on tourist lists, but it is one of the most rewarding places to experience the city at a slower pace.

Tree-lined paths, flower beds, small lakes, and resident pelicans create a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of central London. The bridge over the lake offers one of the best views in the city: Buckingham Palace in one direction and the distant silhouette of Big Ben in the other.

It is a wonderful reminder that London’s appeal is not only architectural. The city also excels at creating spaces where people gather, relax, and pause between sightseeing stops.
