4Tallinn, Estonia – A Medieval Christmas Fairytale

Tallinn’s Christmas market looks straight out of a storybook. Set in the city’s medieval Town Hall Square, it combines Gothic charm with northern magic.

The scent of cinnamon, pine, and hot wine fills the crisp air as snow blankets the rooftops of pastel-colored houses. The market is famous for its local crafts, woolen goods, and traditional Estonian dishes like black pudding and sauerkraut. The central Christmas tree, a tradition that dates back to 1441, stands as one of Europe’s oldest.
